Otto Muehl 1928– Otto Muehl, a Vienna Actionist, abandoned the practice of traditional art and made use of his own body. Under the slogan of ‘From art to living’, he carried out anti-social and anti-normative performances His anarchist tendency which often led to legal scandals. Later Muehl moved to Berlin and formed an art commune. Through the commune, he challenged private ownership and the institution of marriage, while continuously attempting on alternative education.
